15th Annual Nova Scotia Skills Competition
Ready, set, compete! This spring, Skills Canada – Nova Scotia is proud to present its 15th Annual Nova Scotia Skills Competition and Career Showcase. Put your skills to the test and compete in Olympic-style events designed to showcase your skills in trades and technologies!
The competition is an opportunity for students and apprentices from across the province to explore their interests, meet industry professionals, and gain valuable experience. In total, there are 53 competition areas, five of which are designed specifically for persons with disabilities—poster design, photography (studio and outdoor), cake decorating and painting.
Train to win gold at our provincial competition and join Team Nova Scotia as we head to Edmonton, Alberta, in May to compete at the Skills Canada National Skills Competition (SCNC). This year, the SCNC is a qualifier for the
WorldSkills International Competition in 2013, which means gold medal
winners may have the opportunity to travel to Leipzig, Germany, as part of Team Canada!
Some spaces may still be open for the 2012 Nova Scotia Skills Competition, so contact us for more information.
Competitors must be between 13 and 30 years old (with the exception of any disability-specific competitions), and confirmed registrants are required to pay a $40 competition fee upon acceptance.
